Skin Lesion Removal is a simple procedure used to eliminate lesions that cause aesthetic discomfort, hygiene issues, or pose health risks. Most lesions are benign, but some may require further examination. Before the procedure, the doctor always evaluates the nature of the lesion and, if necessary, recommends additional tests.

Patients most often have the following skin lesions removed:

  • Papillomas (Skin tags)

  • Moles

  • Dermatofibromas

  • Seborrheic keratoses

  • Angiomas (vascular lesions)

  • Cysts / atheromas / sebaceous lumps

  • Condylomas

  • Sebacinių liaukų karputes (ant veido)

When should they be removed?

  • If the lesions are constantly irritated by clothing, jewelry, or shaving.

  • If they cause pain, bleeding, or inflammation.

  • If the lesions grow rapidly or change color.

  • If they cause aesthetic discomfort or interfere with daily habits.

Procedure

Benign skin lesions are most often removed using the radio-surgical method – with high-frequency radio waves. This is a painless and safe procedure, performed without surgical incision.

  • A needle electrode is used, which precisely targets the lesion.

  • A small scratch remains at the treatment site, which heals within 7–10 days as the skin regenerates.

  • After removal, the doctor provides wound care recommendations.

Important

Before removal, the doctor always evaluates the shape, color, and structure of the lesion. If there are suspicions of malignancy, a histological examination is recommended.
